Cambridge High School - Sullivan Block

The completion of the Sullivan Block represents the successful completion of our 8th project at Cambridge High School – and it was handed over a month ahead of programme. In December 2023, the project was blessed and officially opened by mana whenua representing Ngāti Korokī Kahukura and Ngāti Hauā.

We have an established and successful long-standing relationship with Cambridge High School, completing a repertoire of projects on behalf of the Ministry of Education since 2020, ranging from weathertightness to Design and Build.

The recent works at the Sullivan Block involved the construction of a two-storey new build, with a pre-cast panel exterior and seismic curtain wall glazing. This also included the installation of a 15-person capacity lift accommodating for student services, acoustic rating for music classrooms, and both floors equipped with Intello vapour barrier.

The project was successfully fulfilled within a live school environment, avoiding disruption of the day-to-day school schedule and ensuring safety of the students and staff was achieved by carrying out major works during school holiday periods and carefully managing the operations timeline.

The School are thrilled with the new addition to their school. We are proud to start our 9th project at Cambridge High School in 2024 which is a weathertightness reclad of D Block.
