The Role
As an experienced Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in securing high-value commercial projects by delivering precise and competitive estimates on time. Your deep understanding of strategies, methodologies, and risk profiles in estimating will be crucial. Given the close collaboration with Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, strong teamwork skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Utilise your expertise to accurately estimate the costs of materials, labour, and equipment required for each project. Lead and direct tendered opportunities with tactics to win work in a commercially prudent manner through improvement of tender submissions and pricing strategy whilst ensuring compliance.
- Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bids and proposals that align with project requirements and objectives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Pre-Construction to gather necessary data and insights for accurate estimations.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities during the estimation process and provide strategic recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and cost-saving techniques to continuously improve our estimation processes.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
