The role
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will support the finance team by handling daily financial transactions. The position offers a variety of tasks, including processing invoices, managing payments, handling reimbursements, and reconciling credit cards, among other responsibilities.
Other key responsibilities are:
- Process and pay External Labour invoices in the system.
- Process and reconcile staff reimbursement and staff purchases.
- Assist the Finance Manager in debt collection, processing month end tasks and reporting.
- Process monthly Xero invoices and payment run.
- Prepare ad-hoc bank payments and transfers.
- Process manual sales invoices and post scheduled claims as required by the QS team.
- Process and reconcile the company Credit Cards.
- Accounts payable processing including timely processing of all creditor invoices, ensuring correct coding, statement reconciliation and account opening applications
- Enter prompt payments to be processed weekly.
- 4 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting positions
- Experience using Cost Con, Jobpac, Lentune and/or Xero an advantage
- Basic Payroll knowledge would be an advantage
- Microsoft Excel to Advance level
- Good written and verbal communication skills
