The role
Livingstone Asset Management is seeking a skilled and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to carry out building maintenance work for key clients in the Waikato region. If you take pride in your work and have a passion for providing top-notch service, we want to hear from you!
  
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings and grounds, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Perform repairs on carpentry, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and HVAC units.
  • Paint, gib fixing and gib stopping, and repair structural components as needed.
  • Inspect buildings for safety and maintenance issues.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs promptly.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors as needed.
The right applicant will have:
  • Trade qualified
  • Minimum three years in a commercial and or residential trades environment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work
  • Great communication skills
  • Understanding of field-based software systems
  • The ability to work part of a team or unsupervised
As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to undertake a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice check.
