Tetra Pak - Melody Dairies

This project was for the construction of a turn-key drier facility to increase the production capacity of the whole milk powder plant. The new building is connected to the existing drier facility via a new corridor between the two wet process rooms.

Along with the structural construction, Livingstone carried out ground improvement and foundation works, fitout and assist with the installation of the new equipment.

Key features of the process plant include:

• raw milk storage silo system
• new cream plant handling system
• new single use CIP kitchen
• evaporator
• three stage dryer system
• powder handling vacuum transport system
• powder storage bins
• powder packing machine and packing line.

Livingstone worked with NZFIW in a collaborative partnering approach to achieve the best for project outcome by achieving cost efficiencies and a lower risk profile. We had a full understanding of the high specifications and near-pharmaceutical level of building that was required to make this project a success.
