Livingstone were engaged to complete the first stage of redevelopment at the New Plymouth Club – a brand new modern cafe and restaurant which honours the club’s history through its name – 1908 at the Club. Designed by BOON, the transformation has resulted in a revitalised and contemporary eatery, creating a welcoming environment for the community.

The project began with demolition of existing arched porch structures, decking, balustrades, and parts of the external wall, plus stripping the interior finishes. New refurbishment works were split into three areas: external walls & interior, Eastern entrance, and outdoor dining.

The internal fitout included a new servery area, including raised floor, high-spec joinery, new services works, and improved flow to kitchen, as well as a new entrance lobby with cedar panelling to walls and ceiling, feature cedar screens, tiled floor, and access controlled sliding doors. The indoor dining area included bespoke suspended feature light fittings and bespoke seating units. The outdoor dining area and Eastern entrance were included as part of the project scope.

Following the successful handover of the first stage of the redevelopment, we began works on Stage 2 – a new darts and pool area at the establishment.
